Born and raised in the Hamilton area, our founder and principal of the firm Harvey James Katz takes pride in serving the community that has shaped him. With over 45 years of experience as a trusted legal advocate, Harvey has dedicated his career to providing compassionate and results-driven representation to individuals in the Hamilton area.
Drawing on his deep local roots and extensive knowledge in the law, Harvey brings an insight to the firm that is truly unique and permits him to understand the needs and values of his clients. He remains committed to delivering personalized solutions with the utmost professionalism.

Eli Jakubovic, Partner

Eli has been an integral member of Harvey Katz Law LLP since 2009, joining the firm after completing his articling at one of Canada’s largest national law firms. Over the years, his dedication and skill have played a key role in the firm’s growth and success, leading to his recent appointment as an Operating Partner.
Eli’s practice focuses on personal injury law, residential and commercial real estate transactions, and wills and estate planning. With a specialization in serious personal injury, catastrophic injury cases, and complex legal matters, Eli is committed to securing the best outcomes for his clients through exceptional advocacy and personalized care.
Known for his clear communication and approachable style, Eli has a unique ability to simplify complex legal issues, helping clients feel informed and confident throughout the process.
Regularly appearing before the Superior Court of Ontario, Eli is a skilled advocate and a formidable presence both in and out of the courtroom, always striving to achieve the best outcomes for his clients. Michael Bishop
B.A. (Hons.), LL.B
BIO
Born and raised in Burlington, Ontario, Michael combines a rich educational background with a deep commitment to his community. After earning his undergraduate degree from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, and studying abroad at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand, Michael pursued his LL.B. at the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom. During law school, he demonstrated his advocacy skills by winning the prestigious MacKay Cup National Moot Competition, supported by the Honourable Peter MacKay, Canada’s then Minister of Justice and Attorney General.
Michael returned to Canada to article with Harvey Katz Law, where he gained valuable hands-on experience. Following his call to the Bar in 2017, he officially joined the firm and has since built a diverse practice focused on motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-falls, long-term disability claims, wills, estates, and real estate transactions.
When he’s not advocating for his clients, Michael enjoys hiking the Bruce Trail, kayaking, and exploring the wineries of the Niagara Region, reflecting his appreciation for the natural beauty and culture of Southern Ontario.

Bianca Zimperi

BIO
Bianca joined Harvey Katz Law Office after her call to the Bar in 2022, bringing a passion for advocacy and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for her clients. Her practice focuses on Plaintiff Personal Injury litigation and Accident Benefits Claims, where she provides compassionate and results-driven representation.
In addition to her personal injury work, Bianca has completed the Intensive Program in Wills and Estates at Osgoode Hall Law School. She is eager to assist clients with their estate planning needs, providing thoughtful guidance to help individuals and families secure their legacies.
In 2019. While at Sussex, Bianca excelled in advocacy, serving as Vice President of the Canadian Law Society and Student Leader of the Sussex Law Moot Competitions. She was recognized for her exceptional oral advocacy skills, culminating in a victory at the DMH Stallard Senior Moot Competition at the Supreme Court in London, England, judged by The Right Honourable Lord Reed, President of the Supreme Court.
From Moot Court to the Ontario Courts, Bianca regularly appears before the Superior Court of Ontario and the License Appeal Tribunal. She is dedicated to helping clients of all ages navigate complex legal matters with care and confidence.
